We are in active search for a VP of Human Resources for a well-established global company southwest of Pittsburgh.
Preferred candidates will have a minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in human resources, with at least 5 years of executive HR/ international HR experience.
Preference given to applicants with manufacturing industry experience and labor relations skills.
This is a fully on-site role that requires 25% travel (both domestic and international).
_ *VICE PRESIDENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES* Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President of HR is responsible for leading the global Human Resource function in support of our overall global business plan and strategic direction.
The VP of Human Resources is a key member of our leadership team and partners with senior stakeholders across functions to define and lead strategic initiatives that will support the achievement of our business goals.
This role provides strategic leadership input to the CEO and executive leadership team, to the Board of Advisors and acts as a trusted business advisor to other senior executives of the business regarding key organizational and management matters.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: · Define and execute an HR strategy to support annual and longer-term companies’ Business Plans; and establish HR as a source of competitive advantage.
· Direct and counsel the global HR team, including HR Directors and Country Leaders regarding policies, programs, laws, and issues.
Understand the differences of domestic and international policies and programs and coordinate the integration of all such programs.
· Lead the strategy of HR initiatives and practices related to succession planning, performance management, compensation, benefits, recruiting, retention, training, talent management, organizational change management and labor & employee relations.
· Work with the HR leadership team to develop engagement and retention strategies to minimize turnover and create a culture of growth and stability.
· Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive compensation and benefits plans that are competitive and cost-effective.
· Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, compensation, and benefits globally.
· Provide business partnership to company leaders for the full range of employee relations matters.
Manage all employee relations matters from initiation to completion, working with legal counsel when necessary.
· Facilitate, support, and consult on actions which create and sustain organizational values within organization and foster a unique organizational culture that gives a sustainable competitive advantage.
· Function as subject matter expert for union and labor relations activities.
· Continue improving the programs, policies, practices, and processes associated with meeting the strategic and operational people issue of the organization.
· Act as an advocate of the company’s values and culture to create a best-in-class work environment.
Education and Experience · Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Masters highly preferred.
· A minimum of fifteen years of strategic human resource management experience with at least five years of executive level HR experience.
Experience to include managing compensation, benefits administration, recruitment, training and/or talent management.
· In-depth knowledge regarding local and global human resource processes, employment legislation, labor relations and legal regulations · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills · At least five years of international HR experience · Ability to travel at least 25% to business sites, including international travel.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $190,000.
00 - $240,000.
