Role Overview: As a Lead Performance Engineer at Panasas, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal performance of our distributed storage systems.

Key Responsibilities: Performance Optimization: Lead efforts to tune and optimize the performance of Panasas' distributed storage systems, ensuring they meet the high demands of HPC workloads and diverse customer application environments.
Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to identify performance bottlenecks, develop solutions, and implement improvements that enhance system performance and reliability.
Code-level Analysis: Dive into C/C++ code to diagnose and address performance issues, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
High Performance Computing (HPC): Leverage your expertise in HPC and Artificial Intelligence (AI) workloads to tailor Panasas' solutions to meet the unique performance requirements of this sector.
Customer Focus: Understand customer workloads and application environments to ensure that Panasas' distributed storage systems are optimized for specific customer needs.
Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation related to performance engineering, optimizations, and best practices.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
An advanced degree is a plus.
A minimum of 5 years in tuning and debugging distributed storage systems.
Proficiency in C/C++ programming to address performance-related issues at the code level.
Strong understanding of High Performance Computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) workloads, customer application environments, and industry standard benchmarks.
