Position Summary The Associate Manager, Payer Relations - Data Specialist will report to the Manager, Accounts Receivable Specialty.
This person will assist Manager to analyze data across the business to make informed decisions or assist other team members and leadership in making sound decisions.
The primary responsibilities include: Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in data sets.
Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
Developing workflow and work assignment strategies that contribute to the highest degree of productivity and accuracy Evaluating and identifying streamlined approaches to routine payment variance reviews to ensure most efficient, accurate review and escalation process.
Validating payment variances to contract terms, partnering with Reimbursement Analysis, payers, and client contacts to address payment discrepancies and escalating payment variances as appropriate.
Leading innovation through system enhancements and process redesign, manage and support projects as assigned by management, requested by payers, system enhancements and process changes.
The Manager will also be responsible for supporting the RCM team by leading colleagues responsible for developing workflow systems and streamlining processes within the department.
The Manager will also be responsible for preparation and coordination for all internal SOX Audits.
Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience working with data in Microsoft Access, Excel, and other analytical tools; including the ability to sort, filter, highlight, ad columns, create pivot tables, and utilizing formulas to compare large data sets.
3+ years experience in the healthcare industry.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with payer contracting, insurance plans and reimbursement analysis preferred.
Proven ability to collaborate across business lines to work towards enterprise goals and objectives.
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver results that meet or exceed expectations.
Extreme accuracy, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Ability to work in teams and coordinate work efforts.
Exceptional verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
Ability to evaluate work and process flow to ensure optimal efficiencies.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Experience in a high intensity, fast paced production environment.
Experience working with revenue cycle applications and healthcare finance and accounting principles Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or health care management preferred Education Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent experience required Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $43,700.
00 - $100,000.
00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
