Participates in assessment, provision of direct care, and evaluation of resident response to care, ensuring that the needs of the residents are being met through the care by ensuring that policies and procedures of the nursing department are followed.
RN degree (CCAC) or three year diploma school or BSN.
LTC experience required.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Effective interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from administration, groups of managers, staff, residents, families, and the general public.
Computer skills preferred.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to anticipate emergency situations and apply appropriate judgment to critical situations for residents and staff.
RN licensure, CPR certification, and IV Therapy certification.
