*Summary*
Reporting to the Chief Operation and as a member of the St.
Clair Health (SCH) senior leadership team, the Vice President of Quality, Service and Value (VPQSV) is responsible for the overall direction, leadership and operational management of the quality, service and value programs of St.
Clair Health.
The VPQSV will have accountability for understanding, coordinating and measuring performance of internal and external quality, service and value requirements and will provide leadership in strengthening a quality culture where everyone is engaged and respected.
The VPQSV will serve in a highly visible leadership role, working collaboratively across the enterprise and externally to provide a state and national presence for the program, and be seen as a leader in quality, service and value.
In a rapidly changing healthcare environment where measures of quality, safety and value are critical factors in an organization's identity, reputation and reimbursement, the VPQSV must propel improvements in measures of quality, safety and value.
The VPQSV will do this by: enabling stronger performance through improving approaches based on calculated risks and benefits; benchmarking SCH’s performance against other leading health systems and integrated delivery systems; proactively seeking to improve processes and implement best-in- class solutions, raising quality and productivity in a thoughtful way; and identifying new systems and processes to improve quality and make healthcare delivery more efficient.
*Minimum Qualifications*
* Master’s Degree or equivalent degree with recent clinical practice is required.
* Experience leading quality and value programs over a large span of areas across of an integrated delivery system is required.
* The work requires a minimum of five years of quality leadership experience.
At least 3 years of experience leading quality programs within an integrated delivery system with oversight for both inpatient and outpatient settings.
* Proven experience in establishing strategic priorities and building the infrastructure and team to implement large-scale initiatives and behavioral change across the enterprise.
* Experience utilizing the approaches and methods of process improvement as evidenced by achieving desired outcomes.
* Licensed or eligible for license for clinical practice in Pennsylvania.
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Experience in both medical groups and hospitals is desirable.
* Experience in an academic or community setting is strongly preferred with and a track record of scholarship related to quality and value
