*The Role*
We're looking for a highly-motivated, entrepreneurial individual who is comfortable closing sales.
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving the growth of the Pittsburgh, PA market.
The Business Development Manager serves as the face of Blossom Industries in educating business owners and managers about the value of Blossom's portfolio of products to grow their business.
Your goals will be a combination of new account acquisition, upselling additional products, and building relationships with decision makers.
In this role, you will oversee the whole sales and upsell process from prospect to pitch to close.
You will primarily be outreaching through a combination of networking, email, phone, and meetings to increase touch-points with decision makers and secure sales.
This is a strategic sales role with lots of touch-points throughout a variety of channels to achieve targets.
*Core Competencies for Role*
* 2-4 years of in-market selling or territory management experience (alcohol, beverage, or C-store industry is a plus, but not required)
* Experience building relationships and developing new accounts
* Track record of being a top performer and consistently exceeding goals
* Goal-oriented, excellent organizational abilities & relationship building skills.
* A hustler who thrives in an ever-changing, fast-paced startup environment
* Excellent communication skills; effectively leads sales efforts and is comfortable in written correspondence, on the phone, and in-person.
* Ability to problem-solve and cater pitches to address owner pain points in real time
* A go-getter who is coachable, adaptable, internally motivated, and resilient
* Knowledge of cannabis, hemp and cannabinoids a plus.
* A valid driver's license and vehicle for travel as needed.
* Must be at least 21 years old.
*About You*
You are known for your excellent written and verbal communication skills, in particular your strong presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all internal and external stakeholders.
Previous experience with the hospitality industry is a plus.
You will thrive in an entrepreneurial, hands-on and non-corporate environment.
As part of a small and dynamic team you are a team player, willing to roll your sleeves up and deliver results.
The right to work in the USA is essential.
Must have a valid state driver's license and a clean motor vehicle record.
