We are looking for an Outreach Manager to manage Fabric’s Pittsburgh-area team of Outreach Specialists.
The Outreach Manager will split their time between managing the team and on-the-ground outreach work in laundromats.
The Outreach Manager will be a part of the Pittsburgh leadership team and will inform the build-out of the company's products and processes.
Outreach Manager Responsibilities
Manage and Develop: Lead a team of Outreach Specialists, including:
Effectively motivating the team through coaching and direct feedback
Setting and managing individual and team-based objectives
Communicating with a diverse team with different backgrounds, skills, and experience levels
Unblocking challenges for the team, including but not limited to inventory and working in public settings
Developing new and more effective ways to conduct outreach & structure the outreach team
Outreach: Conduct outreach in laundromats, including:
Building relationships with families in laundromats
Developing an understanding of families’ needs and identifying where they need support
Completing public benefits applications on behalf of families (e.
g.
Medicaid, SNAP, LIHEAP), as well as helping navigate their health plans (e.
g.
find and make doctor’s appointments)
Making referrals to outside resources as needed and providing required documentation
Hire, Staff, and Schedule: Assist in the growth and optimization of the team, including:
Interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new outreach team members
Creating schedules for outreach staff and handling all administrative tasks related to the management of the team (e.
g.
schedule management and approving hours)
Required Qualifications
Experience conducting community outreach, field marketing, canvassing, customer service, or sales
Experience managing small teams (3+ people)
Willing and able to spend their time working in person inside laundromats
Consistently available on weekends: laundromats are busiest on weekends!
Reliable transportation to different locations throughout Greater Pittsburgh
“Nice to have” Qualifications
Experience working with high-needs populations
Comfort with learning and using a variety of apps and technologies
Experience using Compass or completing state benefit applications
Spanish language fluency
AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, and other national service alumni are encouraged to apply
Salary and Benefits: $60,000-$65,000
