4moms is looking to add an ambitious Director of Sales to our Sales team! About the role: We are looking for a highly collaborative leader to build account strategy, oversee and execute account initiatives, be hands-on managing existing accounts, and measure results of key sales efforts.
The Director will take responsibility for managing existing and potential new key accounts to deliver exceptional revenue growth and client experiences within domestic and international markets.
The Sales team is responsible for ensuring 4moms is in lockstep with ever-evolving consumer and retailer needs.
As the leader of the Sales team, the Director of Sales will collaborate closely with company leadership and internal cross-functional partners to drive the ongoing business and launch new products/initiatives.
What you’ll be doing: Partner with executive retail teams, brokers, key partners, and international distributors to generate long-term sales plans and product placements for existing and new product launches Collaborate with key retail accounts on: Annual planning to set sales forecasts, including annual terms/allowances negotiations Business plans to maximize business performance vs plan Business cases to support market and/or portfolio expansion Annual line reviews, quarterly meetings and day-to-day communication with key retail partners On-going business needs including assistance with logistics, compliance, payment, etc.
Perspective derived via market visits to build relationships, monitoring of competitive activity, insights from other retailers and juvenile shopper trends Collaborate with our eComm/digital marketing team to develop growth-driving sales and channel strategies Manage accounts, both personally and with the team, for operational requirements Personally develop and prepare projections and business cases, supported with analytics and data modeling Develop, mentor, and support account managers Prepare and present reports on KPI’s; share and apply key learnings with Global Sales and Leadership teams Deliver revenue and profit targets across domestic and international retail customers inclusive of big box, specialty, and online retailers Collaborate with Marketing teams (internal and external) to develop marketing plans and assets for in-store/digital activations to support aggressive sales goals Partner with third party vendors to drive retailer efficiency and results Partner with Product Management team on product and go-to-market retail strategies.
What we need from you: Bachelor's degree in business or related field with 7+ years of account management experience Experience managing US retailers, such as Target, Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy and independent specialty retailers Global sales experience preferred Experience leading and managing 1-2 Account Managers preferred Strong analytical and modeling capability.
Ability to use data analysis and create models for projections and proposals The ability to navigate retailer relationships as a DTC brand Key responsibilities: Cultivating key multi-million dollar accounts to maximize 4moms presence and market share Defining sales and growth strategy of key accounts while aligning with critical sales and business objectives Building relationships and understanding both retail-level and consumer-level needs to provide the right partnership, products or solutions Establishing clear goals and objectives for internal teams and at the account level Performing business analysis and tracking Creating well-supported projections and proposals with data and modeling Developing and managing budgets We value: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills The ability to take initiative and work with limited direction The ability to influence across a broad organization Critical, strategic thinking combined with pragmatic, roll-up-your-sleeves problem-solving and execution skills Relationship-builder with well-developed people skills; ability to balance competing priorities while remaining flexible and creative Ownership of the business and pride in performance to impact the company’s success Enthusiastic, energetic ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Pride in work, accuracy and attention to detail Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changes in workload Flexibility: 20-30% travel Location to be anywhere in the United States, but need someone who can come to Pittsburgh, PA regularly – typically twice per month.
