The role of Geomatics Regional Sales Manager is responsible for growing revenue across several geomatics markets primarily the site civil engineering firm providing subsurface utility engineering and the underground utility location contractor.
Business development efforts will be spread through a combination of direct sales, working through channel partners and our own salespeople representing complimenting product lines.
The Geomatics Regional Sales Manager will work remote from their home office.
Responsibilities will be executed through a combination of office time as well as travel to visit partners and clients.
This role reports to the Geomatics Sales Director – North America.
What will you do
The ability to learn, understand and articulate details regarding the Screening Eagle GPR Geomatics product line achieving a level of competence commiserate with the business development and demonstration responsibilities required.
Travel within the specified region 50%-60% of the time performing required equipment and software demonstrations as well as industry trade shows and association meetings as necessary.
Become competent in market and industry knowledge including competitive equipment, client site workflows and ASCE 38 22 Subsurface Utility Engineering requirements.
Use of organization systems to facilitate business activities, i.
e.
company CRM, expense tracking software and required HR employee software platforms and full suite of MS office products.
Understand and execute the sales process including after sale hand off to training resources.
Teach the sales process to internal sales, partner relationships and resellers.
Support marketing and design engineering efforts to identify possible new markets and make equipment/software recommendations to advance product offering globally.
Conduct business activities internal and external at a high level of professional decorum reflecting the Screening Eagle Code of Ethics and policies.
What do we expect
Solid background using underground utility location equipment like ground penetrating radar and EM pipe locators as well as site survey equipment.
This includes an understanding of the basic technologies’ strengths and weaknesses.
Proven track record in professional sales of capital equipment and related software.
It is assumed that the candidate could execute a basic sales conversation of discovery, business case, proof of concept scenario and closing conversation.
Experience in hardware/software demonstrations, leading conversations through field application to new workflow efficiency and benefits.
Basic knowledge of the risk management industry market segments and the associated GPR applications that apply to each segment.
A technical degree is preferred but not required in leu of experience.
