Job Highlights Responsible for North American sales of Aromatic Network and Inorganic Acids products which are of significant importance to LANXESS and the global Business Unit (BU) Advanced Industrial Intermediates (AII).
Negotiate short- and long-term spot business.
Negotiate multi-annual sales contracts where applicable based on Business Line (BL) strategies.
Management of executed contracts and customer relationships.
Promote sales of Aromatic Network and Inorganic Acids products; develop sales tactics based on the agreed global marketing strategies for all assigned customers.
Call on existing and potential customers and document all relevant information including market and competitive information in CRM.
Collection, organization, presentation and analysis of market data for all relevant products of the BL ANW, BL INA, BL POP and BL OMS (all BU for AII in the U.
S.
and Canada).
Keep import and export records updated on a monthly basis.
Inform all relevant parties of market and competitor's activities in the U.
S.
by creating excel files and presentation of all relevant data influencing the global as well as the U.
S.
strategy.
Develop and update sales forecasts as part of the Integrated Business Planning process (IBP).
Achieve or exceed targets for sales and DSO at assigned accounts as well as DSI where applicable.
Customer Credit Management together with Business Director and GF Accounting.
Receivables Management/Format in conjunction with Business Director.
Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or other comparable science degree, Marketing or Business.
MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
5-10 years of relevant work experience.
Previous direct experience in chemical sales and marketing activities.
Leadership, project management and international experience is advantageous.
Strong organizational, analytical, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Ability to think strategically with a team-oriented approach to work.
This is a hybrid role with the expectation to be on site approximately 3 days per week each week.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
