The Key Account Coordinator will learn the core functions of the Key Account Specialist and Procurement positions.
They will develop and implement proper customer communication, pricing, and strategy along with product knowledge, vendors and lead times.
The position will be counted on to assist the Transportation team with additional customer overflow, while learning core aspects of the business, potentially moving into an Key Account Specialist or Procurement position.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Prefer college level business coursework or bachelor’s degree, though previous, successful professional experience may outweigh education requirement.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Be a self-motivated and detailed oriented person, willing to take ownership.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with mathematical aptitude.
Astute at understanding web-based applications.
Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Must be proficient in Microsoft products, in particular Excel.
Good analytical and interpretation skills.
Ability to understand and populate the flow of the supply chain.
Prior sales experience, Metals industry experiences preferred.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY AREAS AND DUTIES
Immersed in learning the sales and procurement aspects of the business.
Support the inside staff and management with miscellaneous overflow.
Expedient handling and entering of customer’s inquiries and orders.
Understand the RMA and PPAP processes, along with freight terminology, POD's and ASN's.
Understand and execute company pricing strategies to maximize sales.
Expedite customer orders when needed.
Understand lead times, vendors, and the flow of the supply chain.
Select accounts may be assigned as experience is gained.
Understand customer portals, score cards and contracts.
Understand material specifications and gain product knowledge.
