Sales Manager
Rivers Casino Pittsburgh is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to improve the overall performance of our hotel and casino/hotel combined event space.
This pivotal role involves soliciting and securing new accounts while ensuring the retention of current accounts.
As a Sales Manager, you will work closely with the Director of Sales to achieve revenue and market share goals for The Landing Hotel, Rivers Casino’s event space, and ancillary revenues associated with occupied guest rooms.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop strategies to target, solicit, negotiate, and close new and repeat business for hotel group blocks, inclusive of event/meeting space and catered food and beverage requirements.
Collaborate with the Director of Sales, Sales Managers, Sales Coordinator, Operations Leaders, and other key personnel to exceed revenue, market share, and client satisfaction goals as per the property’s budget and business plan.
Conduct regular evaluations of competition, including SWOT analysis, to refine and enhance sales strategies continuously.
Maintain a strong local community presence and foster relationships with casino hosts, event planners, and local businesses to drive bookings from both internal and external sources.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of the local market and similar facilities in the region, utilizing this knowledge to identify and capitalize on new sources of business and networking opportunities.
Employ yield management techniques to negotiate room rates and function space, as well as catered food and beverage commitments, ensuring profitable outcomes.
Essential Qualifications:
At least six months of experience in hotel and catering sales preferred.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Valid PA driver’s license is required.
Proficiency in Google Suites preferred.
Strong organizational and presentation skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Familiarity with CRM systems and group block inventory management software preferred.
Ability to remain composed in high-pressure environments, with a strong desire to be measured on business results.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and working on computer and office equipment.
Ability to traverse the property to assist in and meet with clients.
Ability to travel to on and off site meetings and events.
