The Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh is seeking out a rockstar Sales and Catering Manager!
*SUMMARY:* You'll be responsible for booking, selling, planning and coordinating social and corporate events while assuring the highest level of customer service.
Generating revenue, establishing new accounts, monitoring booking space, booking repeat business while keeping quality consistently high.
As well as be a liaison between your client and the operation teams within the hotel.
Responsibilities will also include staying current on industry trends, and you seek creative ways to infiltrate markets and accounts *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
*DUTIES PERFORMED DAILY:* Ø Actively prospect and qualify new business.
Ø Negotiate Food and beverage, function space, and/or hotel services within approved booking guidelines, and produce and/or review all contracts and Banquet Events Orders.
Ø Coordinate and help execute full details of events and activities with accuracy through detailed communication with clients and interdepartmentally.
Ø Work closely with other hotel departments to facilitate services agreed upon by the sales office and prospective clients.
Ø Ensure that all events are meeting all contracted requirements including food & beverage minimums, attrition, cancellation etc.

Ø Produce monthly sales-related reports for assigned area of responsibility.
Ø Arrange and conduct special events, site inspections, and off-site presentations for potential clients.
Ø Completes any special projects as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing or Director of Catering.
*WEEKLY* Ø Review market plan/action plan Ø Review Reader Board activity Ø Attend integral Hotel Meetings Ø Plan and execute weekly solicitations Ø Review leads with Director of Catering Ø Plan short term goals Ø Conduct Site inspections Ø Attend outside networking functions Ø Make all deadlines assigned *QUARTERLY* Ø Prepare quarterly action plans Ø Review goals for upcoming quarter *SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:* Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

*REASONING ABILITY:* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
