We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Retail Associate to contribute to the success of our store.
*Responsibilities*:
*Tournament Management:*
· Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons, assisting them in finding the perfect table top gaming item
· Offer expert advice on game rules, deck-building strategies, and product recommendations
· Handle customer inquiries, comments, and provide resolution when needed
*Tournament Management:*
· Coordinate and organize gaming tournaments for popular games such as Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon, One Piece, and Lorcana
· Ensure smooth tournament operations, including registration, pairings, and prize distribution
*Trade-In Program:*
· Facilitate trade-ins of trading cards for cash and/or store credit
· Assess the value of trade-ins based on condition and market demand
· Maintain accurate records of trade transactions and inventory
*Sorting Tasks:*
· During downtime, engage in sorting tasks that involve organizing products alphabetically and maintaining a well-organized store layout
· Assist in restocking shelves and maintaining a visually appealing retail space.
*Qualifications:*
· Passion for gaming, with a strong working knowledge of popular games such as Pokemon and Magic: The Gathering
· Excellent customer service and communication skills
· Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other staff members
· Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining an organized workspace
· Previous retail experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite.
*Schedule*:
This is a part-time position with a semi-flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends to accommodate tournament schedule and peak business hours.
