The Master of Science in Computational Finance program (MSCF), ranked one of the top-ranked quantitative finance programs in the country, is the joint venture between four Carnegie Mellon colleges: the Tepper School of Business, the Math Department in the Mellon College of Science, the Statistics and Data Science Department in the Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy.
The Master of Science in Computational Finance program seeks an Associate Director of Career Services at its Pittsburgh campus.
This position provides career counseling and relevant career services offerings to MSCF students.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Provide 100 MSCF students individual assistance in defining career options, developing employment skills, job-search and offer negotiation strategies.
Use industry insights to provide individual and group career coaching.
Develop and facilitate workshops for resume preparation, job-search strategies, interview skills, and experiential learning preparation.
Plan and implement annual alumni mock interviews, alumni career panels, corporate presentations and on campus recruiting events and interviews.
Conduct effective employer development efforts through site visits, email campaigns and other marketing initiatives.
Evaluate innovative programming as employment markets change.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience required; experience in financial services, higher education, career services or graduate recruiting highly desired
A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.

Though a Pittsburgh based position, this group’s supervisory team is based in New York.
In accordance with the pay transparency legislation set forth by NY, the corresponding salary range for this position (PA market based) is anticipated to range between $71,000-$76,000 annually.
