Carnegie Mellon University’s Stores is searching for a Marketing Specialist.

The individual in this position is responsible for supporting the successful delivery of the marketing and communications strategy for The University Stores, representing Carnegie Mellon University.
You will provide communication consultation to internal departments and will be responsible for analysis of communication metrics.
Your core responsibilities include:
Develop, maintain and implement marketing/social media calendar/promotions for the University Stores
Responsible for successful execution of events, which will include author signings, Apple marketing campaigns, off-site pop-ups, sporting events, various partnership events (with campus and local community), open houses, commencement, etc.
Increase brand awareness for University Stores in compliance with CMU marketing standards
Constant collaboration between internal departments to execute upcoming events/sales/promotions
Regular updating of campus store website, ensuring all items are represented online, that content is current, along with managing online coupons/promos and timely processing of online orders.
Creates and maintains product images, secondary lifestyle images, special featured items displayed on homepage, consistent product descriptions and corresponding sku numbers.
Assesses abandoned cart percentages, mobile compatibility, ADA compliance, and customer feedback
Development of relationships/partnerships in local/surrounding community
Develop print/digital publications, promo materials and electronic content for online store to support marketing plans
Utilizes market research and google analytics to determine marketing dollar spend and measure results of marketing endeavors
Meets expected budgetary goals
Oversee social media content/analyzes viability of alternative social media platforms
Represent the University Stores at events/interviews utilizing strong public speaking skills
Stays current on market/industry trends related to general marketing and current website/POS provider, which includes extensive networking with industry peers
Conducts photoshoots throughout the yearMay be required to lift, push or pull 25lbs.
This position will work the sales floor on a regular basis as needed on a non-traditional schedule that will include weekend rotation and some nights/weekends.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree
1-3 years related work experience
A combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered
