_*Position Summary*_ The University Events Coordinator is responsible for the oversight of event delivery, reservation and management of all community spaces on campus.
Has oversight of signature events of the university as designated/identified by university leadership.
Assists with the execution of events from the Office of the President as deemed appropriate.
Where applicable, assists with the rental of spaces on campus designated to generate revenue for the University.
_*Responsibilities and Essential Functions*_ • Manages event reservation and management of all community spaces on campus.
• Creates, implements and maintains an online event request form for internal use.
• Evaluates and manages space requests to clients to provide the best management of our Carlow community spaces and strategic needs.
• Implements and conducts weekly university–wide events management meetings with all applicable constituencies on campus.
• Meets with prospective outside clients/renters, discussing event needs and plans, coordinating all their needs.
Negotiating and initiating their contract.
• Serve as an outward facing University representative to the community/prospective clients to create an event revenue stream.
• Assists other departments on campus with event consultation as needed.
• Ensure delivery of key Advancement events and high- profile University events.
• Assist in planning of Presidential special events.
• Oversight and planning of pre-and post-baccalaureate and commencement receptions.
• Develop an enhanced community presence of substantive ongoing event initiatives to help raise awareness of and benefit the University.
• Provide best-in-class event planning consultation and education to the Office of the President, Advancement and other divisions as appropriate to ensure that Carlow events reflect the goals and high standards of the University.
• Collaborate with team members of marketing and communications, as needed or deemed appropriate, to develop materials related to events and to contribute marketing and media strategies to promote all events.
• Demonstrates and reflects understanding of and commitment to the mission and core values of Carlow University and the Sisters of Mercy.

_*Qualifications and Experience*_ • At least three to five (3-5) years’ experience in event planning and management, or similar roles such as corporate events, trade shows, etc.
; Experience in education institutions or university setting a plus.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in project management including developing and meeting project milestones, timelines and goals.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population of faculty, staff and students.
• Demonstrated sales/marketing skills.
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in publication development.
• Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.
