Responsibilities
The qualified candidate will have overall responsibility for the operation of the Pittsburgh (Washington, PA) plant.
The Plant Manager will be accountable for the day-to-day activities of the business, providing the resources necessary to grow and/or taking the necessary actions to manage profitability.
Developing and articulating the Regional annual Operations plan and meeting financial commitments, including meeting or exceeding revenue, profitability, and return-on-asset targets.
Developing the action plans that support the execution of the strategy.
Developing and executing, in collaboration with the Sales Leader, a strong growth strategy including market expansion.
Providing the resources necessary to grow and/or takes the necessary actions to drive profitability while maintaining a competitive operational cost structure.
Developing and implementing regional strategies that are in line with corporate strategies; working with regional management and other Company leaders to ensure congruency among businesses.
Exceeding EBITDA and related financial objectives by developing rigor around the annual budget process; ongoing forecasting requirements; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions and timely report of results.

Analyzing market positioning of the various players operating in the sector for the purpose of benchmarking and identifying future business opportunities.
Developing and maintaining key customer relationships to drive retention and growth Developing talent and maximizing human capital including assessing the current leadership team making certain the right team is in place; identifying those with potential and providing opportunities to grow professionally – building a succession plan.
Engaging, empowering, and leading a team of professionals through progressive leadership practices focused on accountability and delegation of authority.
Supporting and enhancing the culture of high-value, high-touch customer service excellence.
Developing and leading a world-class operating culture and having a measurable impact on the success and growth of the overall organization.

The Plant Manager, in Pittsburgh should have: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience with 2-3 years in a management role with full site operations responsibility with a complete complement of direct reports including finance, human resources, quality, distribution and/or manufacturing operations.
Prior experience working in the Packaging (including corrugated) industry OR a related industry.
Experience with driving change – change management leader.
The ideal candidate will have managed a business with revenue targets with a demonstrated track record of driving profitable growth.
Proven track record of improving operational excellence, as well as improving operating metrics (OTD, operating profit margin, reducing working capital.

Strong financial acumen.
Effective strategic leadership skills and executive attributes; the ability to foster, formulate and execute business strategies that deliver profitable growth.
