*JOB SUMMARY*
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Director to join our team.
As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for leading and managing our sales team, driving business growth, and achieving sales targets.
This is a key leadership role within our organization, requiring strong sales acumen, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication skills.
* Directs the sales activities to achieve budgeted goals
* Solicits, evaluates, sells, and confirms business to meet overall budgeted sales and profit margin
* Oversees the coordination of various departmental activities related to booked business to ensure customer satisfaction and hotel profitability
* Formulates and executes projects for all market areas as stated in the hotel Marketing Plan to increase sales volume and profitability
* Participates as required in solving problems with other departments related to booked business
* Contacts customers in-house to promote goodwill and foster additional business, repeat bookings, and referrals
* Follows up on progress of groups booked, such as room night pick-up, rooming lists and cut-off dates, with the Front Office Management to insure maximum occupancy on a daily basis
* Enhances the property’s community image and stays abreast of competition, new developments, and sales methods and techniques in the hospitality industry to maximize profitability
* Conducts and/or attends meetings to maintain favorable working relationships among company associates and to promote maximum morale, productivity and efficiency
* Prepares reports, as requested, to develop a more informative database for improved management decision making and critical evaluation of work activities
* Performs all responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner, following established company policy and projecting a favorable image of the hotel.
* Keeps the General Manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so prompt corrective action can be taken when appropriate
* Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
*Job Requirements*
*Educational/Vocational Preparation:* Bachelor’s degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or Marketing and/or comparable experience gained through previous Hotel/Restaurant Management or Marketing on-the-job training.
*Qualifications:*
* Must have working knowledge of Marriott Sales Systems
* Three years of Hotel/Restaurant Management or Marketing experience
* Seasoned management/supervisory skills
* Proven sales track record

*Job Specifications: *
*Environmental Conditions:* Inside 25% and outside up to 75% performing sales calls.
*Essential Skills:* Requires familiarity with applicable franchise standards and procedures.
Must possess knowledge, skill and ability in hotel/sales, to include the dev marketing plan development, client program design, development of sales goals, budgeting, forecasting, development of marketing plan, design of client programs, knowledge of room rates, function space rates, and availability and knowledge of all market segments.
