Power Ignition & Controls Appalachia, a wholly owned division of ECI, has an immediate opening for an Outside Sales professional.
The successful candidate will provide control and automation solutions to customers with reciprocating natural gas engines and compressors.
Work will include supporting and servicing our customers’ daily operations with PIC Appalachia products and services.
Business Unit/Department: Power Ignition & Controls Appalachia
Location: Lawrence, PA
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide technical and sales support to the gas compressor market
Increase business volume in PA, Ohio, WV, NY and other northeastern states
Engage with PIC Appalachia principals to ensure customer satisfaction and continued preference; this includes preparation and delivery of customer presentations
Create awareness, understanding and preference for PIC Appalachia products and solutions to increase success of PIC Appalachia, as measured by the business plan.
Continuously work with the sales team and customers to understand their needs and preferences for relevant services and develop and implement plans for success to meet these opportunities
Prepare documentation and reports on sales activities
Provide vacation/absence coverage for inside and outside sales team members
Provide first call technical phone support for customers
Overnight travel is required as needed to cover the sales geography (PA, OH, WV and Northeast), averaging 2 to 3 nights per month
Requirements:
The Ideal Candidate:
Will possess a two-year technical degree or comparable work experience
Has experience with natural gas engine operation and controls
Has experience and/or knowledge of PA DEP emissions
Has knowledge of natural gas production, midstream, transmission and distribution operations
Has experience in industrial and diesel market segments
Will possess a strong mechanical aptitude
Must have proven customer service, negotiation, deal making, selling and presentation skills
Must have effective interpersonal communication and organizational skills
Must be highly motivated, innovative and a self-starter
Must be a team player with ability to work independently
Must have an entrepreneurial work ethic
Must have a valid driver’s license as travel is required
