TITLE: Membership and Marketing Administrator
DEPARTMENT: Marketing
REPORTS TO: Marketing and Communications Manager, Membership Manager
GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Membership and Marketing Managers, provide administrative support to the membership department and marketing support across print and digital media.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist interactive marketing coordinator in all areas of the Phipps website to execute updates and optimizations including event listings, feature pages, blog and content updates as well as other listings.
Assist interactive marketing coordinator with composing e-blast communications and social media communications as needed.
Assist communications coordinator with developing press announcements to garner local, regional, national and global press, including copywriting, deployment and follow-up.
Compile press coverage for Phipps through weekly tracking and performance reporting.
Assist with media tours including walkthroughs, photo/video, requests and press kit development for shows, exhibits and events.
Assist communications coordinator with Thrive, Grow and Phipps blog posts by writing first drafts, researching and conducting interviews as needed.
Update and maintain membership database.
Process membership applications and keep database as current and as accurate as possible.
Process membership cards and other materials.
Send appropriate membership materials to match benefits of level of membership as needed.
Assist members with questions by phone and email.
Assist membership and marketing team members in planning events.
Act as on-site contact for events.
Prepare purchase orders and credit card allocations for membership and marketing.
Help to provide various program status reports in response to requests from conservatory and outside sources.
Assist with and support other areas of membership and marketing as required.
Perform other activities and duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Considerable knowledge of written and oral communications, including spelling, grammar, copywriting, proofreading and language skills.
Considerable knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office products.
Ability to communicate and respond both in person and over the phone to the general public, volunteers, staff and board in a pleasant and courteous manner.
Accurate and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and work independently.
Ability to handle confidential material, exercise initiative and display sound judgment.
Ability to use fundraising software.
Ability to operate office machinery, e.

, computers, postage machines, copiers, etc.
Interactive marketing experience including website, email and/or social platforms and experience with Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop and InDesign) preferred.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND SENSORY DIMENSIONS
Physical mobility: sitting, standing, walking, lifting/carrying objects up to 30 pounds; manual dexterity to operate keyboard.
Mental effort: reading, writing, analyzing, scheduling, organizing, planning.
Ability to work under deadlines and stress.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Ability to provide own transportation to perform principal responsibilities.
May require evening and weekend work.
Will have occasion to work in or pass through any area of the Conservatory or growing houses.
MINIMUM POSITION GUIDELINES (Education, Experience and Certification)
Bachelor’s degree and two years’ experience preferred.
Blackbaud experience a plus.
Licensed PA driver insurable by the conservatory.
