TITLE: Interactive Marketing Coordinator DEPARTMENT: Marketing REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing and Communications GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Interactive Marketing Coordinator will lead the social media, website and digital media strategy and analytics needs of the marketing department.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Independently manage and contribute to social media campaigns (Facebook, Twitter, etc.
) with oversight from the Director of Marketing and Communications and support from the Marketing Assistant, developing and activating content calendar by platform (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) to drive social reach and engagement to include robust content schedule, timely consumer monitoring and response, social promotions and engagement events, in addition to leading secondary social platforms (TikTok, LinkedIn).
Claim/attain verifications of Phipps social media accounts.
Maintain current Phipps website, including updating information on a daily basis, and writing and organizing content in collaboration with the Communications Manager.
Assist in continued development of Phipps website, both in-house and in collaboration with third-party vendors.
Oversee Phipps’ e-mail communications calendar, composing Phipps’ monthly newsletters and other e-mail broadcasts.
Research and implement new web and social media trends, keeping Phipps at the forefront of technology.
Explore SEO strategies and web-based advertising options.
Prepare social media analytics reports.
Review web analytics data and discern anomalies; suggest action based on that data.
Assist with video production projects to convey new initiatives, shows and exhibits at Phipps, promoted across digital media channels.
Maintain consistency of standards established by the marketing department.
Proof and edit documents.
Maintain Phipps’ digital media assets in cooperation with other department members.
Perform design work as needed.
Perform other activities and duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Considerable knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office products, as well as web development including HTML and CSS.
Ability to use Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop and InDesign) and handle photo-editing and document design tasks.
Excellent written, verbal and visual communications skills, including expertise in spelling, grammar, proofreading and creative writing.
Ability to communicate and respond both in person and over the phone to the media, general public, volunteers, staff and board in an engaging, courteous and professional manner.
Ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously, prioritize and work independently, and work effectively on deadlines.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND SENSORY DIMENSIONS Physical mobility: sitting, standing, walking, lifting/carrying objects up to 30 pounds; manual dexterity to operate keyboard.
Mental effort: reading, writing, analyzing, scheduling, organizing, planning.
Ability to work under deadlines and stress.
WORKING CONDITIONS Ability to provide own transportation to perform principal responsibilities.
May require evening and weekend work.
Will have occasion to work in or pass through any area of the Conservatory or growing houses.
MINIMUM POSITION GUIDELINES (Education, Experience and Certification) Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related field.
