Obtains necessary information to process and complete loan files
Job Purpose: Examines documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with existing underwriting guidelines.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Assists post closing with funding and stacking of loan files when necessary.
Prepare closing documents to state, federal and investor guideline.
Completes a quality control check prior to preparation of closing docs.
Contact title co, loan processor or mortgage lenders if additional items are needed for preparation of closing documents.
Complete closing check list.
Assist Mortgage Department in meeting monthly closing goal.
Assist Post Closing Department with Funding request, wires, shipping of closed loans and investor pends.
Assist Mortgage Department in meeting monthly closing goal.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
High school diploma, required.
Bachelors Degree preferable.
3 – 5 plus years experience in mortgage loan closing preparation in wholesale and correspondent environment.
Knowledge of FHA, VA, Conventional, Rural Development and Trust Closings.
Ability to complete tasks within deadlines.
Detail oriented and high degree of accuracy.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Ability to multi-task.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of Federal and State regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of Investor loan requirements.
Ability to read and speak English proficiently.
