POSITION SUMMARY Performs a variety of technical and clerical duties pertaining to the acquisition and resale of property by the City of Pittsburgh.
Department: Law Posting Type: Announcement/Bid Salary: $42,328 per year Union: This position is included in the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees, Local 2719 bargaining unit and will be filled in accordance with the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

WORK EXPERIENCE: The application must clearly show one (1) year of full-time experience which includes the acquisition and resale of property (i.

, investigation of property documents, descriptions, and taxes).
The application must also show some proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Less than full-time experience will be calculated on a pro-rated basis.

POSITION DUTIES Performs a variety of technical and clerical duties that pertain to the acquisition and resale of property by the City of Pittsburgh.
Assists the Account Technician, Real Estate Sales Coordinator and immediate supervisor with the preparation of all documents pertaining to the acquisition and resale of property that are presented to the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County by the City of Pittsburgh.
Performs all accounting functions related to the acquisition and resale of property.
Performs research pertaining to the acquisition and resale of property (i.
e.
, obtains court documents, investigates property titles, descriptions, taxes, etc.
, and reviews related Commonwealth of Pennsylvania statutes, etc.
).
Classifies and indexes all new cases and creates a pertinent document file for each case.
Files primary case documents with the Court of Common Pleas and records corresponding court case numbers and files secondary documents.
Provides department staff (and the general public) with information regarding property disposition inquiries, status of sales, etc.
Maintains records, both manually and by computer, and prepares accurate reports, correspondence, etc.
Performs activities and functions of related personnel and other related tasks and duties as requested or required.
