Job Description:
The Porter I position is responsible for the primary upkeep, cleanliness and appearance of common areas and grounds of a multi-family apartment community.
This role is also responsible for assisting with deep cleans and basic maintenance/labor within vacant apartments which are in the process of being made ready to rent and as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.
- The Porter I will also be responsible for helping maintain the trash schedule and insure appropriate staff coverage including weekends and holidays and be "on call" for maintenance emergencies from time to time as needed.
The general objective of this position is to maintain a welcoming, clean, attractive community by completing a daily common area cleaning checklist as provided and helping to prepare vacant apartments with the rest of the maintenance team.

This full-time position will work a minimum of 40 hours per week and is an on-site position.
Major Duties / Scope of Work:
Complete daily assigned common area and grounds cleaning schedule as provided by maintenance Supervisor
Assist with rest of maintenance team on apartment turnovers by being the primary cleaner in vacant apartments
Complete minor maintenance related work orders as needed and assigned from time to time
Be "on-call" for maintenance emergencies from time to time as needed and scheduled by Property Manager
Assist in maintaining the trash schedule by placing full trash bins out for pickup and taking empty bins in for use
Assist in package organization and/or delivery with rest of community team
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Preferred 2+ years experience in a commercial cleaning, light maintenance, and/or janitorial role.
Experience in the residential apartment industry a plus.
Proof of tenure as a primary cleaner/laborer within an organization.
Salary & Benefits:
Starting Base salary: $17.
50 - $18.
00 Hourly.
