Closet bar 72-in (new) - $15 (Hempfield Township PA)

Great bargain! Steel telescoping closet bar, brand new.
Telescopes from 72 to 120 inches (6-10 ft).
Purchased for an 8-ft closet but can't use, can't return.
This bar is strongest if used unextended at 6 ft.
If extended over a greater span I recommend using a middle support.
I cannot install a middle support due to my closet configuration, so I'm opting for an iron pipe instead.
About the tab: This bar is meant to hang on a 1x6 or the like installed on the side walls of the closet and fastened into the studs.
How: Screws attach the closet bar ends to each 1x6.
The tab rests on the top of the 1x6 - this helps with installation, after which a screw or long nail can be driven downward through the tab into the 1x6 for added security at the side walls.
Removal: If you won't be installing on a ledge as such, the tab may be bent downward out of the way or cut off.
