Overview:
The Facility Maintenance Specialist is responsible for maintaining office equipment, grounds keeping/ landscaping, building maintenance and daily cleaning of the contact center.
Responsibilities:
Maintains and restocks janitorial supplies; coordinates with contact center staff to ensure that all purchases are necessary and are provided through “least cost” suppliers
Corresponds with vendors for general maintenance of facility
Cleans and maintains all aspects of facility internally; ensures daily cleaning and sanitation tasks are accomplished to IBEX standards.
Records maintenance logs and ensures that emergency and after-hours points of contact are developed and kept up to date at all times.
Monitors and provides for routine and non-routine service support to facility systems including back-up generators, security alarms, fire protection, sprinkler systems, and heating & air systems.
Prepares call floor with equipment supplies and addresses any equipment issues that arise.
Assists with “handy man” jobs including changing light bulbs, hanging signage, basic electrical and plumbing as needed.
May perform other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma and two years’ experience in facility maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to lift heavy objects over 25 pounds.
Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills.
Acute attention to detail, problem solving and multi-tasking skills.
Excellent project management skills.
Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical and automation systems.
Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in an ever changing environment and able to prioritize daily tasks to meet specified deadlines.
Ability to work nonstandard hours, including overnight, as required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, smart phones, photocopiers.
The role also routinely uses basic tools, ladders, electrical, plumbing and cleaning equipment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to point, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee may be required to lift up to 25 pounds regularly, and over 25 pounds occasionally.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
This is a full time position.
This position requires the ability to work during nonstandard hours.
